Thanks to the efforts of all Travelers, the Time Princess charity event with Days for Girls International was a huge success! $70,000 has been donated to aid DfG in their cause of helping girls in Africa have access to sustainable health solutions to manage their monthly periods and help promote sanitary practices.
Days for Girls International is turning period into pathways. By providing women and girls with reusable pads (DfG Kits) and health education, they are breaking down barriers and ensuring that all girls have access to education, health, and success.
Last year, COVID-19 affected everyone around the world, including IGG’s gamers. With the participation of Lords Mobile players in the Oktoberfest fun event, Sven was able to fulfill a wish! Sven has a brain tumor, so he has to undergo regular treatments and operations. As an avid gamer, he has always wanted to have his own gaming station. Thanks to Make-A-Wish Germany, we have the chance to make his wish come true. Sven was surprised by the wish-fulfillment team with balloons and many awesome gifts that will have any gamer’s heart singing. A gaming desk with LED lighting, Pikachu balloons, pillows shaped like gaming controllers, an IPad with personalized engraving and the Lords Mobile game from the Lords Mobile team, were all waiting for him in Sven's children's room. And a big thank you goes to our streamer AppGaming who played a big part in granting Sven’s wish. We hope that this gesture will give Sven enough courage to continue the battle against the illness, and to enjoy life to the fullest.
IGG’s first College Charity Art Competition drew to a successful close on July 30 2020, after publishing its list of prize winners. Taking place within China over a period spanning sixty days, nine winners have emerged from this competition, including one by popular vote. Some fresh graduate winners have already entered IGG’s green lane as potential hires.
Helmed by IGG Charity and exclusively sponsored by Lords Mobile, IGG’s first College Charity Art Competition represents cooperation between both parties on all fronts. Thematically, Lords Mobile offered a rich story background and distinct gaming style for this competition. It gained traction as many contestants and players were intrigued by this. The competition invited legendary artists of the Kingdom to create illustrations in the style of Lords Mobile. With the art platform as battleground, artists strived to be the champions of this competition.
In the end, a student from the China Academy of Art, Jiang, clinched the top prize with her piece “Storm Fox”. She had won the favor of judges with her ingenious creativity and superb artistry. The prize awarded to popular vote had seen some intense competition too. Subsequently, the piece “Songstress of the Sea” emerged triumphant with 10,198 votes.
With this, this competition drew to a close. We thank each artist for their dedication and hard work. We appreciate the craftsmanship behind the making of each piece, and we can see each contestant’s infinite potential. May each one of our gamers grow together to push the gaming industry to new heights!
This spring, IGG has pledged to donate $150,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, from the sales of Lords Mobile’s specially designed castle skin and an event partnership with a Youtuber. Proceeds from these campaigns will go towards wish granting in six countries, namely Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Philippines and Spain.
Many wishes were postponed due to Covid-19, but IGG and the Make-A-Wish Foundation managed to help grant some wishes in these countries, and filled young hearts with happiness and joy. We're proud to share some of these stories with our gamers!
